2012-13 School Building Grants
For the 2012-13 school year, BPSF once again offered fixed-dollar grants to each school in the district to create awareness for the Foundation, invite broad-based participation, gain an awareness of needs at the building level, and sow the seeds of excitement for what could be in future years. Grants were set at $1,000 for high schools, $750 for each middle school, and $500 for every elementary in the district.
In return, we asked that:
- Grant money be used in a way that would benefit many in the building.
- the Foundation be invited to see it in action (when possible).
- Documented and reported results could be shared with the school and broader community.
This year's grant requests funds a wide range of programs that support great teaching and learning. This includes enhancements to literacy, math, and leadership development curriculum, assistance with support for differentiated learning, increase in technology-based products for the classroom, and funds to provide transportation to extend and enhance the school day.
